Hi,

My name is Cristian Ascui and I’m based in Cookstown as a church worker in St. Lauran’s

Derryloran ParishChurch. I arrived to Cookstown on the first days of November 09 and since then

I’ve been very well received and welcomed. The people here are very kind, warm and gentle, so up to now I’m feeling pretty much as home.

My first tasks or assignments have been helping on Mondays with the cubs in the scout group. During the week I’ve been visiting and getting to know some of the parishioners that are unable to attend the services. On Sundays I’ve been attending the confirmation class and doing some of the readings and prayers in the services.

I hope the future will be packed with learning, good moments and blessings.
