Dona Marta

Dona Marta Favela is one of the largest shanty towns in Rio de Janeiro. Poverty is widespread, housing is informal and built by the residents using brick, wood and cardboard. Crime and violence are endemic. Edmeia Williams, working with the Anglican church, runs a community centre where children can be fed, educated and taught about
the Bible and life of Christ. Edmeia Williams For more information on the centre and how to pray for and support this project please download the Dona Marta leaflet.
